Self Evaluation

I like the final paper because it’s like all the things we learn put into one essay, interview skills, research, etc. I do like my topic; however, I wish I was more dedicated to the paper. I’m very lazy at this point and have almost no motivation to write. It’s not just because everything is coming to an end and that I think I don’t need to do much, it’s just lots of things been stressing me out and what not. I am a bit pleased on my essay though. I did a lot of research and learned a lot from reading about our freedom of speech, schools and the internet. My initial argument was to not shut down Juicycampus.com but then I changed it. I’m glad I changed my topic because it made me realize that it’s a horrible site. At first, I thought people are just writing and if they want to read it, they go ahead, if they don’t like it, don’t go on it, simple reasons like that; however, after changing my claim, I realize that they are potentially hurting teachers, schools, clubs and other students. It’s just not right for some people to write nasty comments about others on a public web site. If you gossip from one person to another by mouth, it’s less hurtful because the whole world won’t know what you said, but when it’s written, it’s different.

I had fun this semester even though I was very stressed at times. That's how life is therefore I'm not going to complain. College is way different than high school. I realized that you have to do things on your own time and manage your own things. The teachers will not baby sit you all the way through. I think the hardest thing for me this semester is balancing work and school at the same time. Not even work, it's just staying in school too long cuts down the things I can do each week. Next semester should be better. Natasha, you're a wonderful teacher. I enjoyed your class even though at the beginning I was going to kill myself over the work and what not, but at the end, I enjoyed the class. I do wish class was longer sometimes because of the discussions and stuff but eh, o well. Good luck in the future with everything. =) See you around campus, summer maybe.. =/ ^_^V

random

so.... Craft show was this weekend. I was super disappointed by it. I think we should of have a better turn out with allb
the hard work and planning. We planned so long for this and prepared so much and literally 14 people came on saturday. I was so sad. It's like all our hard work went to nothing except for one seller, she made a decent amount of money. As for the rest of us, we either made one SMALL sale or NO sale at all. O well maybe next time we'll do better if there is a next time. My hopes are in the trash!!

Saturrday was soooooo hot omg!! We were all sweating and sticky and nasty. Maybe that's why people didn't come out. There was at least like 100 cubes of cheese left over, half a bowl of punch, 7 bottles of wine, 5 boxes of crackers, and a lot more!!! Eh. I guess everything will go on etsy and just leave it there. It'll be another year till someone buys something :(

Most Expensive Social Issue

I am VERY VERY disappointed about amendment 2. =( I think first of all, the people who voted were VERY uneducated about what the amendment is saying. It's not just about the gay marriage, there's more to it and lots of voters didn't know that. I personality read the amendments on the ballot and was like..huh?, wth? The wording they use is very confusing to not just me but a lot of people.

I think that marriage should be between two people who love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together. Off course, a lot of marriages don't work out and this is where divorces happen, but for some people, marriage is the greatest thing that ever happened to them. I don't think it should be limited to a man and woman. Why does it have to be between a man and woman? I don't think there's anything wrong if you're gay. I think it's wrong that gay people aren't allowed to be married. I really don't see how it make sense. If two gay people are together for their whole life, what's the difference if they're married? I mean, if they live together and all, they're practically "married" so why can't they get an officially paper that says they're married? I just think it's wrong to stop certain people because of the way they are.

I think the people who oppose to gay marriage are very religious, not that I have anything against them or their religion. I just think that they take religion into a deeper level than it is. Everyone is like, oh the Bible says no. My opinion on the bible can go on forever but I have to say that, it's a literature and it's written by PEOPLE! Aside from that, people stand behind what they believe in very strongly but I don't think they should make judgments based on a book. Different religions have different meanings of marriage so which on is right? So I guess certain religions will accept gay's and some won't? I don't understand.

All I have to say is that LET THEM CHOSE WHAT THEY WANT! Why should it concern you? Many people have gay friends and they have no problem with it but if they get married, you're going to have a problem with that? Make sense? Not to me! You should accept them for who they are.

NCLB, Education

After watching the CNN news, I was like.. WTF (on McCain's plans). I haven't finished the video at this point because I just have to write about it before I forget what I'm going to write. Right now, I just finished watching the two candidate's plans for education. For of all, WHY IS MCCAIN ALL UP ON VIRTUAL SCHOOLING? I think that is NO way to teach someone, especially if they're in middle/high school. Having classes online just creates more problems I think. People become more lazy and wait till the last minute to do things, people don't really learn if they ask someone to do their homework for them, and how do you know if they're really learning to begin with? I think online classes are a good way to keep yourself busy and productive during the summer. For example, if you're home all summer, it'd be nice if you take a class that way you can get a head start on the next school year and what not. I took a class during the summer, not online though, because I knew I was going to be sitting on the couch watching TV all day, so I went to FIU and did dual-enrollment. If you let kids take online classes during a normal school year, they would sit at home and put everything off till the last minute. There are kids who REALLY need to go to school everyday so the teachers can MAKE them do things. There are kids who just don't want to learn and don't want to do anything, and if they're allowed to take online classes, that's worse for them. According to what the news said, it seems like McCain only cares about funding money for online classes and teachers who increases the student's performances. It is important for the teachers to increase student performances because then, they're doing their jobs and what not, but they get rewarded? Shouldn't they be increasing their students performances to begin with each year? I mean, it's like their pointing out that the teachers that will be rewarded are GOOD and the others are BAD because they didn't have a bigger increase in performance than the others. I don't have a strong argument against the teacher thing because I just think it looks bad for them in the long run. I don't know how well that system will work.

So.. I just finished watching the other two videos on the site. The 2nd one (the teacher), she's funny. I don't know why but I just felt like laughing, not that she's talking nonsense or anything but I guess it's just funny to me. Anyhow, I liked the video. She talked about the Act in a way that most people would understand. There's not much facts or evidence or anything but with her experiences and what she thinks, it makes me understand it. I think that what she said is right. You can't put "fear" into the kid's head. I mean, progress is good and all but if there's no progress, would taking money really help? It's like, oh, you didn't pass the test, therefore I'm taking money from you so you can't buy books, supplies, etc etc. Is that good? I don't think so. There should be a punishment I think because it's not fair to the other schools who really push their kids to do well and teach and what not (I'm not saying that the other schools don't teach and push their kids), but I really don't think taking the money away would make things better. Imagine that you're a hard working teacher at your school and the school as a whole was punished because of their test scores. You, yourself is very hard working and the kids in your class improved but the school as a whole didn't. I think this would cause the teacher to think, oh, maybe I should just not worry about the kids so much, they should do whatever they want, I don't have to work so hard because I'm not getting paid well, etc, etc. The teacher can also be like, I did my part and I'm not getting recognized therefore I'm leaving the school and going to a better school. Well, the school just suffered a loss of a good teacher, without the teachers, who will teach the kids? I know this scenario is not the best but my point is, TAKING MONEY AWAY IS NOT GOOD, PERIOD!! I've met teachers and know teachers who doesn't get paid well, and don't give a shit about teaching because they make crap money. It's sad.

To me, education is really important. My parents moved here for opportunity and my parents want us to have every opportunity we can. In middle school, my parents made my brother and I go to tutoring sessions after school not because we were dumb, it's because they think we can learn faster, get help if I didn't understand something, etc, etc. They wanted us to learn more and it's not as bad as it seems. I learned a lot from just talking with my teachers, not necessarily stuff that they were teaching in class but about life and all. My parents knew that if we didn't go, we'll be sitting our butts at home on the computer doing nothing so they wanted us to spend that time learning useful things instead. Education in China is not bad. According to my parents, teachings in China is way faster than the U.S. A kid in first grade in China is almost equaled to a kid in maybe..third grade in the U.S. I don't know what it is about China but those people teach like crazy. Well I kinda know. When I was in China, we didn't have breaks. We had school during the summer, classes 6 days a week. Unlike the U.S., you go to school for 180 days a year, in China, you go 6 days a week for 12 months, at least when I was there. You had homework during small breaks (usually a week during Spring, summer and winter). I think going to school was ok in China, my parents didn't really come here for the schooling. It's more for the "life". In China, it was hard finding jobs, get an education (back then, before I was born), make a living. Most families in China are made up of parents who never graduated high school because they had to support their families and start working, kids who goes to school and come home to help clean, cook, etc. That's a typical family and that's why my parents moved. My parents want us to do well in school, have a good life so we don't have to live like them. So I guess at the end, it's for the opportunity and education as in why they moved. I am proud of my parents for moving here and I am grateful to be in such a country. Even though this country is hated by others and the economy, education systems, etc etc sucks, it's still better than a lot of the other countries in this world. I wouldn't go anywhere else for what I can have here.

Blog #6, Superhero

Who ever can make this economy go up will be my hero. My main concern is the economy. I do care for the health care and all the other things but I think the economy is really important now. I don't trust any of them because they can "say" what they're going to do now but will they actually do it when they're President? How soon will they be able to perform what they said? Wouldn't it be so bad if the person you voted into office doesn't do what he promised? That would suck! Let's hope that won't happen. =P

As a college student, the economy is the most important thing for me. Everything that deals with money revolves around the economy and everything in school and life in general revolves around money. Money is always a problem to 99.9999% of the people. With the economy being so bad, colleges don't want to give out money, prices for supplies goes up, budget cuts, and everything else. I recently hear that because of the budget cut in schools, teachers are offering extra credit for students to bring in napkin, antibacterial hand sanitizer, paper, and other supplies. Well, what if a student just can't spend that extra $5 on those things? He/She won't be able to get extra credit. I think that's sad. It's like..paying your way through school. I'm exaggerating but it seems that way. A co-worker of mine also told me that in one elementary school, they have a program called "Adopt a classroom", where parents can adopt a classroom and buy supplies for them. On top of the parents buying pencils, pens, books, paper, binders, book bags, etc for their kids, they have to buy for the whole class! They don't have to, but those who volunteered will, but still, that's a lot of money. And why do they have to look to parents to help? The economy sucks. Banks are closing, people losing their money, stock market crashing, people without jobs, etc etc. It's just so sad. =(

My boss is in such a big debt with his place, I wish I can just donate him some money so the poor man can feel relieved just for a little bit. The shop is not making enough money for him to keep up the rent, his own living expenses and all that. I RARELY see him eating lunch. He's usually at the store from 10AM-8PM and I only see him eating COOKIES!! How can you survive on that. He said, "I have no money to eat" in a humors voice but I seriously think he has no extra money to spend for food. I can go on and on on this poor guy but it's just too much. He would of been more relieved a few years ago. See, he bought this store from his niece, who moved up north and opened another shop. He had a partner but he died the year when they took it over. Now his income just split in half. He doesn't have the other guy to help out. With everyone so tight on money, no one wants to come out and spend money in jewelry and stuff. Business dropped like crazy at the shop. I hate learning about the economy and stuff, just not my type, but being at the shop, I can literally SEE the downfall. A year ago, I just started working and everyday was busy and now, we have about 3 customers a DAY!

If the economy goes up, life would be just a "tab" it easier. It'll take time for everything to be what we hope for but if the one in office next year can make that happen, HE is my hero. I'm leaning towards OBAMA but if for some reason, McCain wins and makes the economy rise, then he will be my hero. I like Obama more because he focuses on all the needy stuff for the middle and lower class people more than McCain. I don't think the rich has anything to complain about seeing that there are people on streets begging for food, and kids sick and their parents have no money to take them to a doctor. The rich probably have a private doctor on call 24-7! I'm exaggerating again but it might be true.

As my boyfriend's dad said, "My the best man win!"

Blog Post #6, Zeitgeist

Our society is frustrated I think. Off course, the economy sucks, money is going somewhere that we don't want it to go, and what not. I don't think we have any happy spirit lately. Well maybe one, the gas price is falling, finally, but you only save about $2 on a fill up but eh. I sometimes do wake up and think why the economy is like this, what can I do to help, but I don't care much but to think. There's nothing I can do to help. Well there is but that probably out of my reach. I worry about what if everything just went downhill. I know that the economy sucks right now and it's hurting everyone. My family owns a business and my parents don't want to make me worry but I know that business is not so good. It's enough to get by and make something but last month, it was so bad that our sales dropped $20,000! That's like...my car!! I felt bad so then I started to save and try not to ask for money. It just worries me that what if one day they have to close it? What will we do? My parents ONLY know how to run a business, a restaurant specifically. I'm hoping that it won't happen.

I think the only thing that is so bad right now is just the economy. I don't think it's one person's fault and I don't think it's necessary Bush's fault, not that I'm defending him or anything. I think he took office at the worst timing possible. 9-11 didn't happen because of him, I think they were set on when, where, and why they were going to attack. It just happens to be that Bush is the president and he had to make a decision. It's either war or not. I'm against the war but it's already happened and we can't turn back now, but we do have to fix it and end it. It's just costing us too much money and resources. If it wasn't for 9-11, things wouldn't be this way. DUH! wow, I'm just like..confusing myself now. Anyhow, I don't know what my point is here. I mean, the economy didn't go downhill overnight. It took awhile but no one wanted to do anything about it beforehand therefore it sucks now. I'm not a big political person so I can't really justify all my reasoning and "theories" and I could be totally off on why the economy sucks, but that's what I think.

This post ties into the new essay I can tell. Not everything is what you see. It's so true! "You can't judge a book by its cover" I think that quote fits perfectly into this. There is no such thing as "love at first sight" How can you KNOW that you love someone by just looking at them? Impossible. You might feel like that person is cute and want to get to know them but please, it's not love until you know the person inside and out. It's 12:22AM and I really don't know if I'm making my point.

In case you didn't have time to look at my site, I make jewelry. I'll be having a craft show soon, you should come and check it out. =D

Blog Post #5, Whatever!

So, I can talk about whatever that's on my mind right now... hmmm

EBAY: I'm been on ebay a lot this week. I've been looking for beads and chains for my jewelry stuff. You can see them on (www.aznbiotch.etsy.com) Not the best name there is in the world but that's another story. So I was on ebay, I bid for some crystals and I won; however, I realized that I don't need them yet because I already have a lot in that size and all. I email the seller and asked nicely if she would "return" the item kind of, and I offered to pay all her fees. (Paypal, ebay, etc) She finally emailed me back today, she was so kind that I only had to pay $2.50 for her fees. I felt so relieved because I really didn't want to spend another $20 on something I won't use in awhile. That was good, I was happy. I'm biding on some sea glass on Ebay now. They're soooo pretty! You should google them. =)

Etsy: Etsy is a online shopping site where all the sellers sell handmade stuff, supplies, or vintage items. It's not like ebay because you don't bid and stuff and you can't just sell whatever that's in your closet. It's a site for handmade stuff. It's really neat. Ever since I've discovered it, I've been buying a lot more "custom" items. They sell bags, clothes, jewelry, cards, anything you can name of! My shop is also on Etsy. =) It's doing ok..I've had a few sales and stuff. Slowly but surely....I'll make a little more money. I asked this seller to custom make something for me. I paid for it, she said she sent it out. I never got it and it's been almost 2 months. I sent her emails about it and all, no replies. I finally got a refund from paypal and esty canceled her account so she can't sell anything. I get this feeling that maybe something bad happened? It just doesn't make sense for someone not to check their emails or their store. =/ hmmm

Presidential Debate: It was very interesting. They talked about the sucky economy, terrorism, health, etc. Obama is definitely a better speaker than McCain. I was watching and thinking, I can NEVER stand up there and debate anything like that. I'm so SLOW at processing things and I'll get all my thoughts tangled. They are seriously brave and very intelligent to debate on live TV and actually make sense. I can vote!!! Registered after my Oath Ceremony last last Tuesday. I'm officially an U.S. Citizen and can vote!! YAY ^_^V

Upcoming Event: I'm super excited about Nov because my co-workers and I are going to have a Handmade Craft Show at someone's house. The time and place haven't been set yet. I'm so excited because it's my first show and I might make some sales. If I don't, I'm not going to kill myself, it's all worth a try. Who knows, I might sell ALL my stuff O_o' My friend's coming down in 2.5 weeks for her birthday, I'm excited to see what we're gonna do. I'm not excited about spending more money, paying for gas, driving, and not sleeping right. (I've been sleeping really late, not that I wanted to but I'm having sleep problems) I'm pretty sure I'll be getting glasses because it's hard for me to read now and stuff, so I'll be looking more like a nerd in a few weeks. =P That's about it...Can't wait till winter!!! I'm cutting my hair again!! SHORTTTT =D um... That's about it.... ByeBye till next week! =D

Blog Post #4 The Media

The media I think is the biggest influence on everyone. Music, TV, news, ads, etc etc all influenced who we are today. It's not really a negative thing but it can be. I watch stupid shows like "I Love Money" because it's entertaining when I'm bored. The people there are just stupid and it proves that some people will do ANYTHING to be on TV or get money and what not. I look at ads and buy their products either they're nice looking or I need it. If I look at a clothing ad for Old Navy or something, and I like the clothing, I would want to go out and buy it. I don't know if I'm making a point yet. O_o I don't think that those ads would be a negative effect on me. Sometimes, the media show things that other people would not like to be shown. For example, images or products that are targeted to young people. The more they advertise drugs and alcohols, the more the kid's minds will wonder what they are. I think it's also the parent's role to make sure that their kids don't watch certain tv shows and read certain magazine and listen to certain music.

I'm not saying that if your kid is "bad", it's the parent's fault, or that the parents don't care for their kids. I think that in every household, there should be a limited rule on what they can do and cannot do. Obviously, over time, we are exposed to everything in the world. Alcohol, drugs, sex, parties, but the main point is when should they know about this? Timing is key to everything.

My parents are very laid back. They run a business so my siblings and I are always on our own. Every since elementary school, I would wake up myself and walk to school. After school, I'll walk home and either my sister or I will start cooking lunch. My parents will call and see if we ate already. This was usually the routine until High School. I learn a lot of stuff by watching TV, reading magazine and learn from my friends. I was exposed to drugs and alcohol and parties and all that stuff before reaching high school; however, I knew better than to go out and do all those things. My parents never said, "Do not do drugs, smoke, or drink alcohol!!" I think they trust us enough and know that we know our limits not to do it. If I want to, I really can. Also, it's not the ads on TV that keeps me from smoking and drinking etc everyday. I think it's just me personally. I don't want to be that person. All the teens these days thinks it's cool and it's the best thing that has ever happened to them. I don't think so. If you know that it'll hurt your body and hurt you mentally, why do it? I like the quote, "Live like there's no tomorrow", but that doesn't mean soak your liver in alcohol all day and night, or trap your lungs from operating. There's more to life than just all these.

Ok.. moving on.. besides the stuff I said above, I think that the news reporters play a very important role in our lives. We believe what they say, we're suppose to, but I think that just causes more uncertainties in our lives. The show what's really going on outside and it scares me. I hate watching the news and learning that a random person shot another in the broad daylight! How scary is that. By watching the news, people can be more careful when they leave their house everyday. To some extent, I think the media shapes our lives everyday. Just take the simple weather reporter, by him/her telling you the chances of rain today, you might want to take an umbrella when you leave. They play a big role when there's a hurricane and for the election of 2008.

Did I kind of make my point? I think the media is both positive and negative. They can be informative and helpful, but they can also be dangerous. Displaying or showing some ads during certain shows might not be the best way to get their messages across. They sometimes can make a mind wonder more about it.

Last thing I'm going to write about. Sorry, this post is so long. I think that their are ads out there targetting certain people which aren't effective. For example, the tobacco ads. The ones where they're saying how many people die a year, how many chemicals are in there, etc, etc. Those are targeted to many audience but for the audience that smokes cigarettes already, I don't think it's every effective. The peope who smokes already started smoking knowing all these things. They knew that it'll damage their lungs and will cause health problems and yet, they still go ahead and smoke. Someone once told me that the key to quitting is the person itself. It's seriosuly true. If they knew all the problems that they will have if they smoke, why would they still do it? I think no matter how many people or ads they see, they won't stop because of them. The person's mind has to say, "I want to quit!" The person itself has to be determined to quit in order to actually quitting. If you're not passionate and determined to quit, there's nothing anyone can say or do to make you quit. No matter how many people you know that died of lung cancer from smoking, if that doesn't make you quit, no one will. My dad knows about all the health issues and second hand smoking, and yet he still smokes. It makes me sick. If the doctor one day told him that he has lung cancer, I seriously won't feel bad or sad for him. Not that I'm mean, but he knows what smoking can do to him and he still does it. He bought that upon himself when he lit that first cigarette. It makes me sick watching him smoke in front of me knowing that my lungs might be damaged because of him. My uncle smokes too but he never smoked around his kids. My dad just don’t care as much as my uncle.

Blog Post #3, Hurricane

Looking at all those pictures really reminded me of the earthquake in China not too long ago. I remember when I first saw the pictures, all I can think of is, "O.M.G.!!!". There were pictures of little kids looking for their parents under all the collapsed buildings, some were pictures of survivors. All kinds of pictures were posted. All I could do is cry and cry. It was so sad.

Seeing all the pictures from Haiti, I wish I can be there to help. Seriously! They're a poor country and they don't deserve to be like this. I wish I can do something. Well, I can. I can donate money, clothes, and food. I think I will donate the 4 bags of old clothes that I have packed but just sitting downstairs because I'm too lazy to actually move it to GoodWill.

Don't you just wish everything will be ok? It's like one disaster after another. In the pass, there were hurricanes that hit New Orleans out of no where, the unexpected tsunami, the earthquake that killed thousands. They just need to stop because there's only so much someone can do when something bad happens. I mean like, I can only donate so much money. clothing, and food. The world just needs to be OK for once! Too bad, nothing is ever going to be just OK. =(

It's going to take so long for those poor countries to become "home" again. Just like New Orleans, it's still in the stages of building new homes for all those people who were forced to move to another state or live in the cruises provided. Imagine leaving your home for good? Man! I can't imagine what I would do if I woke up the next morning in another state and have no communication with my friends. Where will they live now? What will they do now?

Blog Post #2, Politics

I honestly HATE politics with a passion! I have no idea why but I just do. I never understood it and probably won't understand it in the future.

In regards to this election year, I can't vote. =( I'm super close to becoming a U.S. Citizen!!! ^_^V I'm taking the Oath next Tuesday, that's when I officially become a citizen of the U.S. I probably won't register in time for voting because to register, it'll take a few weeks, or months. =(

If I was to vote for someone, I'd still be clueless. McCain seems conservative which is not a bad idea. He has that "protective parent" figure. He's a person that I think won't make impulsive decisions, however, he does think like Bush and I don't like Bush. Obama on the other hand, I admire him because he broke the barrier of "no black man will become President". Obama cares a lot of immigration, wages, working conditions, energy, and health. He targets a younger audience (18-25ish) and the lower class people. He gained their trust that if he becomes President, he will make their life a little easier. I guess, if I was to vote, I'll lend more towards Obama?

I will not read politics everyday, but I do like it when other people talk about it. It makes me learn more because I hate reading, especially politics. When people talk about it, I assume that they know what they're talking about and I listen to what they have to say about each candiate. It's like..politics for dummies, like me. =) My parents don't care who become president... they don't even speak English, don't really care for this place, I mean they don't hate it or whatever, but they just want to make enough to help us (my siblings and I) survive until we're on our own, and make enough money so they can retire back to China. I don't think they care much for politics because they think they can't make a difference. I think that is true, I mean off course if they try hard enough, they can, anyone can make a difference if they try. I think I can make a difference in the future, in something...don't know what yet but if I try hard enough, someone out there will listen and I can make a change!

This also reminds me of another thing. I kind of did make a change but not soon enough. =( When I was in high school, I was part of a club called T.E.A.M. Palmetto. It was a clue where they help old people learn how to use a computer. It was a great club and I'm really proud of being in it. I was in it from freshman year as a member, sophomore year I was techincally the secretary/VP because they were never there, junior year I was President and senior year I was president. Throughout my four years in that club, I've move the club from outlines to outlines of each class to an online site where people can access it and edit it at anytime. It was on a wiki site, where you can edit and write new infos. Our outlines were improving every year and our goal was to make a book, so the elderly that came, can take it home with them. During my seniors year, our school had a budget cut so they stopped our ads in the local newspaper. We didn't know that until our last session of the year. It was too late to do anything. There wasn't enough members who was dedicated enough to take over the club. Seriously, if I was still there today, I would of tried to keep the club going. It's such a club. The elderly people that comes to our classes everyday are greatful that someone will take their time and teach them something that is brand new to them. Some has never touched a computer before. Seeing them leave and thank us so much for our time makes me feel happy.

Blog Prompt #1

Hello! =) This is my first time really using this blog. It's a bit confusing.... I don't know where everything is but I'm sure I'll figure it out somehow.
Well.. when I think of a blog, I usually think of a notebook where I can just write anything in it. Whatever is on my mind at that time, that's what I'll write about. I don't like to write like a professional essay with correct grammar and punctuations and stuff. I think of it as "free writing" and that to me is writing however I want. I like blogs because I can write random things and express myself. I used to write a lot on Livejournal but I stopped because it was getting boring.
I'm assuming that my purpose for writing in a blog is to express myself through writing and try to write more and more everyday. That's how one improves, by practicing everyday. I do write randomly in my diary (yes I still keep one =) ) from time to time but I like typing more, it doesn't hurt my hands. haha =P
My audience will be everyone in this world. I don't like to keep things to myself. I'm the person with no secrets. If you ask me, I'll just tell you, so writing in a blog, I don't care if other people read what I wrote.
Lastly, I'm a bit excited for this semester. I was at FIU during the summer to take two classes so i won't have to take them during the fall. Summer at FIU and fall is totally different! A lot more people, and a lot more running around. I can NEVER find parking. My class is at 11, I get here at 9:30 to find parking. Most of the time, I'll get one by 10:15-10:30ish. I hate parking! Other than that, everything is fine. I'm actually looking forward to this class. This class seems like we'll be interacting a lot more and talking rather than write, write, write, and write. I hate classes where they just give you a list of work and you sit and do them, especially and English class. I do not like English to begin with, I hate grammar, vocabulary, etc, and if a teacher is just going to make me write and listen to her lectures, I'll probably die. I don't think that's the effective way to learn and improve.
The End ^_^V
